Dear Valued Customer,
We are pleased to announce the official launch of the “DAY 9 Product” as part of the renewed OCEAN Alliance, effective from April 2025 (except Transpacific on May 1, 2025). This offering prioritizes punctuality and reliability in delivering services to our customers, at a time when ships must be routed through the Cape of Good Hope.
The CMA CGM Group, COSCO Shipping, Evergreen and OOCL launch OCEAN Alliance “DAY 9 Product”. Following the renewal of the partnership until 2032 last year, this renewed set up program marks CMA CGM’s commitment to continue offering its customers the highest quality of service and providing stability and continuity.
Due to the unstable situation in the Red Sea, ships will continue to be routed through the Cape of Good Hope until further notice. However, we are fully prepared to resume routing through the Suez Canal if the Red Sea crisis is resolved. CMA CGM and its partners are actively coordinating to maintain the same high standards of visibility, reliability, and punctuality that define the OCEAN Alliance.
A new OCEAN Alliance offering to enhance our services:
- The deployment of 380 container ships, including 135 vessels for the CMA CGM Group, which continues to play a significant role in Ocean Alliance.
- 37* services on the world’s most important trades.
- A total capacity of approximately 4.8 million TEUs (Twenty Foot Equivalent).
The OCEAN Alliance “DAY 9 Product” will offer a set of optimized solutions to transport your goods, in particular to and from Asia, including:
- 7 services between Asia and Northern Europe. DAY9 CGH / DAY9 Suez
- 4 services between Asia and the Mediterranean. DAY9 CGH / DAY9 Suez
- 18 Transpacific services:

- 2 services connecting Asia to the Red Sea are suspended until further notice. DAY9
Launched in the spring of 2017, OCEAN Alliance is the world’s largest operational shipping network. It provides customers with agile and innovative solutions through the industry’s most robust network covering major East/West routes and connecting mainly Asia to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and North America’s East and West coasts. Last year, the Alliance extended its cooperation through 2032, reinforcing its commitment to long-term stability for its customers.
CMA CGM and its long-standing partners for years to come within the OCEAN Alliance partnership continue to support its customers’ supply chains and operations by offering best-in-class shipping solutions that serve a vast network of ports with direct calls and optimized transit times.
Committed to achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2050, the CMA CGM Group is implementing the best available solutions to reduce the environmental impact of maritime transport and logistics and is preparing to operate more than 131 container ships that can be powered with low-carbon energy by 2028, part of which is already deployed on the OCEAN Alliance network.
